Year 1 and Year 2 have had a fabulous World Book Day! The children came in a variety of amazing costumes and were excited to show each other who they had come as!
This year we focused on the book ‘Tidy’ by Emily Gravett. After reading the story, we were joined by children from Deepcar St John’s who read some other stories with us. After that, we completed a variety of activities linked to ‘Tidy’. This included painting a small section of a large image of “Tidy” characters and backgrounds. Year 1 and Year 2 also created a poster about recycling and then they participated in a outdoor treasure hunt! They had to find the hidden pieces of rubbish and sort them into different materials. The children had great fun!
