We had a fabulous week in our 2 year provision last week for world book week. The story we focused on was one of the children’s favourites, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle.
We read then acted out the story with the children every day, they enjoyed curling up like a caterpillar then fluttering around like a beautiful butterfly.
We had a variety of activities around the room in all areas including painting our own caterpillar and in the home corner we fed our large caterpillar face with the healthy and unhealthy food. Whilst outside the children worked well together making their own caterpillar using the hoops.
We loved to see the children looking so happy dressed up and looking snuggly in their pyjamas showing us their lovely work they did at home.
