World Book Day March 2022

Today has been fabulous in Year 1 and Year 2!

The children came in a variety of amazing costumes and were excited to show each other who they had come as!

This year we focused on the book “Room on the Broom” by Julia Donaldson. After reading the story, we completed a variety of activities. This included painting a small section of a large image of “Room on the Broom” characters. Year 1 and Year 2 also created witchy potions and thought of their very own magic spell words! We even created our own broomsticks using twigs and hessian. The children had lots of fun discussing who they’d like to join them on their broom stick!

The Key Stage 1 team would like to say a big thank you to all of our children and parents/carers for being so creative and supportive. We were beyond impressed and we’re so glad the children had a wonderful day!
