Reception’s topic this half term is called ‘Why do Leaves go Crispy?’ The children have really immersed themselves into the learning that has taken place, both indoors and out. We have used our observational skills to look at the changes in our environment and the children have used some lovely vocabulary to describe colours and how the leaves fall from the trees. They have also enjoyed learning about what animals do during the winter months and we have had lots of conversations around those animals that are getting ready to hibernate and migrate. The children have applied what they have learnt through exciting provision opportunities, including small world, sorting, writing and creative tasks.
