In Spring 1 our topic was ‘where does the snow go?’ where the children in class 2 learnt all about winter, snowy places around the world and the animals that live in those snowy places. We enjoyed looking at maps of the world and the globe to find where we live and then locate Antarctica and the Arctic. We learnt about lots of different animals including penguins, polar bears, snowy owls and arctic hares. We thought carefully about what we would need to pack in our suitcase if we were going to go on an adventure to the North Pole too. A lot of the children said they wouldn’t like to go to the North Pole because it is too cold!
