My name is Louise Jones and I have been Headteacher at Royd since February 2013. I became Executive Headteacher of both Royd and Deepcar St John’s Junior School in September 2018. I started working at Royd in 1997 as a Newly Qualified Teacher. I thoroughly enjoy my job and serving the community of Deepcar and ensuring pupils have a better education.
I have a seven year old son who I enjoy spending my spare time with.

My name is Mr Sly and I am currently the Acting Deputy Headteacher. My favourite subject is English. I really enjoy writing imaginative stories with the children. My favourite child’s author is Julia Donaldson as I like to try and find the Gruffalo hiding somewhere in all of her other books that she’s produced. I also like the outdoors. I like to watch and play a range of sports such as football and athletics and I also like going for long walks and exploring. I have a Forest School qualification which enables me to enjoy building and making things in the woodlands with children that attend Royd.

My Name is Mrs Jaques and I am a Senior Teaching Assistant for the Two Year Old Provision. I have worked in childcare for over 16 years. One of the most rewarding aspects of working in childcare is supporting children on their early years journey knowing I have helped them grow into confident young children ready for the next phase in their development. My favourite pastimes are camping, walking, listening to music and spending time with my family.

Hello my name is Mrs Crofts and I’m a Senior Teaching Assistant in the Two Year Old  Provision. In my spare time I like to support my son with his passion for snooker and spending time with my daughter. I like to go walking with my crazy cocker spaniel Willow and I love to travel and go on holiday.

Hello my name is Mrs Stephens and I am a Senior Teaching Assistant in the Two Year Old Provision, I have over 16 years experience working with children aged 2 to 11.
I enjoy having lots of fun, spending time playing in the home corner, making dinner with the children and especially singing and dancing to Mr Tumble.
My hobbies are walking, camping, traveling and spending time with my family and friends.

My name is Mrs Driver, I work in the Two Year Old Provision. I love my job, it’s so rewarding to see first hand as children grow into their own individual characters, and a privilege to play a role in children’s lives during these vital early years. In my spare time I enjoy walking my golden retriever and having as many family holidays as possible.

My name is Mrs Brown I am an Teaching Assistant in the Two Year Old Provision, I have worked with children for twenty years from the age of two to fourteen. I enjoy doing crafts with the children, drawing is a passion of mine. In my personal life l enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, gardening and walking.

My name is Mrs Musgrave and I am a teacher in Nursery. In my spare time I love spending time with my family. I really enjoy taking my little boy to new places and seeing him experience new things. At school I have lots of fun singing with the children, creating wonderful crafts and exploring and investigating all the amazing areas in Nursery that let us use our imagination.

My name is Mrs Bailey, and I am a senior teaching assistant in Nursery. My favourite subject is music, and I have played in brass bands for 29 years. I also love to go running and cycling.

My name is Miss Hosford and I am one of the Senior Teaching Assistants in Nursery. I like playing outside and making dens with the children. At the weekend I enjoy going for long walks.

My name is Miss Traill and I am a midday supervisor in Nursery. During my free time, I enjoy walking and spending time with my family. I also like to follow the Sheffield Sharks Basketball Team.

My name is Miss Brook and I am the Foundation Stage Lead. I love spending time in our outdoor areas where I enjoy practicing my maths skills. I like to solve challenging problems using what I know and I also love playing lots of active maths games with our children. I spend all my free time with my two children. We do lots of exciting activities together including baking, going for walks and having picnics.

My name is Miss Brown and I am a class teacher in Foundation Stage 2. I really enjoy baking and making treats for my friends and family. I also have 3 dogs called Tim, Ted and Ziggy who I love. At the weekend, I enjoy taking my dogs on walks to new places such as parks and reservoirs. I also enjoy exploring new technology and working on the computer where I can learn new skills and knowledge.

My name is Mrs Barker and I am a class teacher in Foundation Stage 2. I love to read and sharing stories with the children at Royd is one of my favourite things to do. When I am at home I enjoy spending time with my daughter Rosie. We love to spend time outdoors, whatever the weather! I also enjoy music. I have lots of fun learning new songs and singing and dancing with the children at school.

My name is Miss Darbyshire and I am a curriculum specialist in Foundation Stage 2. I have worked in early years for over 20 years and especially enjoy reading with the children. In my spare time, I love walking in the local area, going on holidays to warm places and reading. I also enjoy spending time with my two grown-up sons.

My name is Mrs Dobbs and I am a midday supervisor in Class 1. During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy reading and going to the cinema.

My name is Miss Payne and I am a teacher in Year 1 and Year 2. I really enjoy welcoming children into my class every morning and helping them learn new skills in every subject. In my spare time, I like to be walking or jogging in the outdoors, riding my Mum’s horses and skiing in the winter. I also enjoy watching live music and I love the excitement I feel when I listen to an amazing singer!

My name is Miss Sheppard and I am a teaching assistant in Year 1 and Year 2. Midday Supervisor in Rainbow Room. My favourite subject is English because I enjoy reading fiction books and I love reading to the children. I also enjoy singing and dancing and going to the cinema to watch films.

My name is Mrs Moss and I am a Midday Supervisor. My main love is travelling and going on lots of days out exploring new places with my husband and son. I love to garden, cook, be creative and I’m a huge Disney fan!

My name is Mrs Staniland and I am a teaching assistant in Reception. I am also a Midday Supervisor. In my spare time, I enjoy playing board games and reading books. I also love spending time with my family.
