Children at Royd are currently taking part in a ‘safety week’ where a range of people will be visiting school including the police, paramedics, lollipop lady and an online safety worker. This week a member of the fire service visited us. They told us that it was really important that we knew our name, telephone number, address and how many people lived in our house in case we needed to call 999. Please can you make sure that your child knows these details. We were told just how important it is to have a smoke alarm in our house. If you don’t have one then please call 01142532314 and they will arrange to fit one free of charge. This could save a life!
