Key Stage 1 have really enjoyed their music workshop
as part of their Rio Da Vida topic! As part of the workshop, pupils carried out warm up activities that involved following using body percussion.
After that, the children were split into two groups where they looked further at using actions to help them keep the rhythm of a Brazilian song (linked to our topic) and participated in a drumming session to look at creating a beat as well as doing some call and response on the instruments. Finally the two groups of pupils performed their work to each other. All the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and had a great time!
