Yesterday, all of our Reception children set off on an adventure to Stocksbridge Library and what a fun afternoon we had! The children walked their socks off on the way there and enjoyed talking about the different things they could see. When we got there the children listened carefully to Lisa, the librarian, who taught us about all the different books that we could borrow and the different uses the library has. Lisa then read us a lovely story, about a rainy day, which we all enjoyed listening to. At the end of our visit we were very excited when we were able to choose our own library book to borrow and share with our grown ups at home. Finally we made the long walk home and although it was tiring, we conquered Carr road, just in time for home time. The Reception team were so proud of the children, especially of their behaviour, when walking and during the library session – well done boys and girls We would also like to thank all the parents/carers that were able to help us on our visit, we are so grateful for your time and continued support.
