This half-term, class 8 have been learning all about the traditional tale; Goldilocks and The Three Bears. Last week, the children had lots of fun creating their own bowls of healthy porridge for Goldilocks! The children learnt about the importance of hygiene and safety whilst cooking. Following this, they followed a set of instructions to make their porridge which included measuring milk, pouring items into a bowl and mixing up the ingredients, before putting the porridge in the microwave to cook. Once the porridge had cooked, the children prepared a range of healthy toppings for their porridge including strawberries, raspberries, bananas, blueberries, raisins and honey! Finally, it was time to taste our porridge! We discussed what we liked and disliked, taking into consideration the taste and textures. The children thoroughly embraced this creative activity and especially loved stepping into the role of Goldilocks to taste some delicious porridge!
