Children at
Royd participated in a 30-minute aerobics session this afternoon. As a school, we aim to provide a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity each day (this is separate to the 2 hours of Physical Education that the children participate in each week). As well as the children having lots of fun, physical activity has lots of other benefits such as: building confidence and improving social skills, giving children the opportunity to learn new skills, strengthening muscles and bones, helping to develop coordination, increasing concentration and learning, making children feel good, as well as many other things.
It was brilliant seeing how engaged the children were and how much they enjoyed it!
