This half term, in science, class 8 children are learning about animals, their habitats and how to care for pets. At Royd, we are fortunate enough to have our own school pet – Poppy the rabbit! The children sat in a large circle and Poppy was able to hop around inside the circle to get lots of strokes and cuddles. Mr Horton (Poppy’s main carer) talked to the children about what he feeds Poppy and how he looks after her. The children were able to ask lots of questions and find out lots of fun facts! Thank you Mr Horton and Poppy!
