The children in class 2 have had a busy start to this half-term! Our topic is ‘why do spiders eat flies?’ and we have been learning all about different minibeasts. We have painted repeating pattern caterpillars, made symmetrical patterns on butterfly wings and practised our fine motor skills by using the tweezers to catch the spiders and bugs! We have been learning about addition where we counted how many flies the spiders had caught on two different webs and then found our total. We have even had a go at writing our addition calculations! The children have also been learning about plants and how to help them grow. We have planted some sunflower seeds and are enjoying keeping an eye on them and observing their changes each day!
