Successful Ofsted at Royd 2024

Dear Parent/Carers,

As you are aware Royd Nursery Infant School had a two day graded inspection on 15th and 16th October 2024.  The final report is attached below, please click on link

Royd Nursery and Infant School – 107057

Staff and Governors are thrilled with the report.  All the staff have worked extremely hard since our previous inspection to make further improvements and are very happy with such an excellent report.  We are very proud of the children and how they conducted themselves during the two-day inspection.  The children were, as always, very polite, courteous, confident and well behaved throughout.  The Inspectors talked to many of children throughout the two days. They really were a credit to you as parents/carers.

Thank you to those parents/carers that spoke directly to the Inspectors in the morning and responded so positively to the questionnaire.

A huge thankyou to all the Governors of the Federation who work voluntarily attending meetings, visiting school etc to help the school move forward strategically.

We are already actioning our area for improvement which will not take long to rectify.

The Ofsted was a graded inspection.  Inspectors carried out deep dives in reading, mathematics, PE and they also met with art subject leaders.

Although there is now no overall grade given during an inspection we did achieve the highest grading in three areas.  This was in;

  • Early Years Provision
  • Behavior and Attitudes
  • Personal Development
