Royd Nursery Infant School has invested in brand-new tables and chairs for ALL children in school. The school now has matching blue chairs and tables that feature a blue trim to match the colour of the school’s uniform. Furniture plays an important part in making a classroom feel warm and homelike and is perfect for creating a comfortable, flexible and encouraging learning environment. All of the new tables and chairs are the same height in each classroom and have been purchased to match the age of the children. Studies show that this helps children to stay focused and increases concentration levels and discourages fidgeting. It has even been proven that the correct classroom environment can have a positive impact on children’s overall happiness and academic achievement. The staff and children that are currently attending school have been delighted with the new furniture. We are really looking forward to seeing the reaction of the children who will hopefully be returning to school on 8th March 2021.
